Effective Date: [YYYY-MM-DD]
Provider: [Company/Developer Name from Play Console]
Contact: motuspotentia@gmail.com

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DocWallet mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using DocWallet, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

DocWallet helps you scan and manage documents and store sensitive numbers in a Numbers Vault. Depending on your settings, some data is stored on your device, some in our backend (Firebase/Firestore), and some in your own Google Drive (if you enable backups or saving to Drive).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DocWallet.

3. Accounts & Authentication

  • You sign in with Google Sign‑In.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your device and Google account.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the App or its security features.
  • Upload or store content that infringes third‑party rights or violates applicable law.

5. Your Content & Ownership

You own the content you create, scan, or store using DocWallet. You grant us a limited, non‑exclusive license to process your content only to provide the App (for example, storing metadata, syncing, and displaying your items). We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Numbers Vault (Sensitive Numbers)

The Numbers Vault is designed for storing sensitive numbers and notes (e.g., IDs, account numbers, PINs). Vault entries are stored encrypted. However:

  • No security system is perfect; you remain responsible for protecting your device and credentials.
  • Do not store illegal content or content you are not authorized to keep.
  • If you forget your credentials or lose access to your device/account, recovery may be limited.

7. Google Drive Integration

When enabled, DocWallet uses the Google Drive API to save or back up content to your own Google Drive account based on the permissions you grant. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s own terms and policies.

8. Service Providers & Third‑Party Terms

DocWallet relies on third‑party providers such as Google Firebase (Auth/Firestore) and Google Drive. Their terms and privacy policies apply in addition to these Terms.

9. GDPR & Data Protection (Summary)

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. This section is a practical summary and does not replace the Privacy Policy.

  • Purpose limitation: We process data to provide and secure the App (authentication, storage/sync, support).
  • Data minimization: We collect only what is needed for core functionality.
  • Security: We use encryption for Vault entries and standard access controls for backend systems.
  • Your rights: You can request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or deletion as applicable.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your DocWallet account and data stored in our backend at any time by contacting: motuspotentia@gmail.com or WhatsApp +256 780 494 927. You may also remove DocWallet’s access from your Google Account and delete any related Google Drive files (see Privacy Policy).

11. Updates, Changes & Availability

  • We may update or change the App to improve features, security, or compliance.
  • We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service where necessary.
  • We are not responsible for outages caused by third‑party services (e.g., Google Drive/Firebase).

12. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error‑free scanning.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including loss of data or inability to access Google services.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using DocWallet at any time by uninstalling the App and revoking Google permissions.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Provider is established, unless local law requires otherwise.
