Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MobWallet mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using MobWallet, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The Service
MobWallet helps you scan and manage documents and store sensitive numbers in a secure vault. Depending on your settings, some information may be stored on your device, some in backend services that support the App, and some in your own Google Drive if you enable those features.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use MobWallet.
3. Accounts and Authentication
- You may sign in using supported authentication methods such as Google Sign-In.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your device, account credentials, and access to connected services.
- You should notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access related to the App.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, disrupt, or bypass the App’s functionality or security features.
- Upload, store, or process content that infringes the rights of others or violates applicable law.
5. Your Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you create, scan, upload, or store using MobWallet. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to process that content only as needed to provide the App, such as storing metadata, syncing information, and displaying your items back to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.
6. Secure Vault
The vault feature is intended for sensitive numbers and private notes. While the App uses encryption and protective measures, no system can guarantee absolute security.
- You remain responsible for protecting your device and credentials.
- You should not use the App to store unlawful material or material you are not authorized to possess.
- If you lose access to your device or account, recovery options may be limited depending on the circumstances.
7. Google Drive Integration
When enabled, MobWallet may use the Google Drive API to save or back up content to your own Google Drive account based on the permissions you grant. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google’s own terms and privacy practices.
8. Third-Party Services
MobWallet may depend on third-party providers such as Google Firebase and Google Drive. Their services, availability, and terms are outside our direct control.
9. Data Protection Summary
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. In summary, we use personal data to provide app functionality, maintain security, and respond to support or deletion requests.
10. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your MobWallet account and the data we control in the backend by contacting us at motuspotentia@gmail.com or WhatsApp +256 780 494 927. Files stored in your Google Drive remain under your control unless you delete them there.
11. Updates, Changes, and Availability
- We may update the App, these Terms, or related policies to improve functionality, security, or compliance.
- We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary.
- We are not responsible for downtime, interruption, or failures caused by third-party providers or external systems.
12. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or suitability for every use case.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Potentia Motus Ventures Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from use of the App, including data loss, service interruption, or inability to access connected services.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using MobWallet at any time by uninstalling the App, deleting app data, and revoking connected account permissions where relevant.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.
